A cool-season native bunchgrass forming soft, fine-textured clumps. Typically 1–2 feet tall and wide. Functions well as a matrix grass in prairies, meadows, and naturalistic landscapes, providing structure without overwhelming wildflowers. Drought tolerant once established and adaptable to a range of soils from dry to average. Full sun to part sun.
