Chamaenerion angustifolium

A tall, fast-growing perennial with vivid magenta flower spikes blooming from early to mid-summer. Colonizes disturbed ground, particularly after fires, hence the name. Grows naturally here on the nursery grounds in the ashy soil of a former fire pit. 3 to 6 feet tall or higher (check out our 9-footer in the product photos) and spreads readily by rhizomes and an abundance of fluffy seed.
