This plant is currently dormant, returning underground until next year. It may look like a dying plant or empty pot of dirt, but rest assured the roots are healthy and developing beneath the surface. It will emerge again next growing season.
Bright magenta flowers on long stems, prolific seeder and rhizomatous spreader. Grows in the wild here on the nursery grounds in and around our groundwater seep wetland, on a north-facing slope in part to full shade and lots of moisture. Can be short or quite tall depending on amount of light and moisture.
