Prunella vulgaris var. lanceolata

Prunella vulgaris var. lanceolata is our native Self Heal. It is more upright and has much narrower leaves (typically two to five times longer than wide) than the non-native Prunella vulgaris var. vulgaris, which has rounder leaves and is more mat-forming. Both the native and non-native forms readily self-seed. Native Self Heal can spread aggressively, while the non-native form is considered invasive in many settings.
